Did you know……

Did you know that hearing is your first fully formed sense?
Long before you took your first breath, you were already listening. Your sense of hearing develops in the womb around 18 weeks, and by 25–27 weeks it’s fully formed. So the rhythmic sound of your mother’s heartbeat, the whoosh of her breath, the soft murmur of voices and the world outside is the very first soundscape you ever knew.
This is why sound can reach us so deeply. Tuning into gentle, safe, rhythmic sound reconnects us with a sense of comfort and safety that goes all the way back to the womb. It can help settle the nervous system, soothe the mind, and even gently stimulate the vagus nerve which can guide us back to our natural state of rest and calm.
Every soundbath is an invitation to return to this ancient memory of feeling held, safe, and gently rocked by sound..
